Chester Hill Borough, in collaboration with various State agencies, has secured funding for a Reconnecting Communities Study. This study will focus on the issues caused by the closing of the Presqueisle Street Bridge. A kickoff meeting was held on February 29. The second step of the process is to gather traffic engineers observations concerning truck, car, bus and pedestrian traffic in the area of Gertrude, Rowland, McGuirk, Presqueisle, and Walton Streets.
The third step of the process is to hold a public meeting to share that information and solicit input from Borough residents. The meeting will be held in mid-April. More information will follow on this website, and in the 2nd Quarter Newsletter.
