Our Chester Hill National Night Out on August 2 was a great success. We had almost 30 organizations participate, including State Police, County Sheriff, County EMS, and Moshannon Valley EMS. Chester Hill, Hope, Reliance, and Osceola Mills send fire and rescue vehicles. We had two dog demonstrations, search and rescue and protection, as well as a demonstration from DJ Studios and their karate students. Wittle Waffles and Pauline's Ice Cream provided food trucks, and the Chester Hill Hose Company served food. There were home baked goods as well. Penn Highlands, The Crazy Pet Lady, Saturn Moon Sisters, and the Center for Community Resources were joined by the YMCA vehicles and a DJ provided music and announcements for the evening. Josh Woods brought the Impaired Driving Simulators and Jerry Lese hosted a watermelon evening contest to end the evening.
Overall, it was a great first effort for Chester Hill National Night Out. Thanks to all who participated and all who attended. If anyone would like to help with next year's event, please contact Pierce at piercesanute@hotmail.com. Enjoy some photos from the event.
