There seems to be confusion concerning fire coverage in Chester Hill Borough. Since the end of November, contracted fire protection is provided the borough by the Philipsburg Fire Company Department 57 (Hope and Reliance).
Several residents have contacted the borough asking if the Chester Hill Hose Company (CHHC) is providing fire protection to the borough again. They are not. Some residents have expressed frustration after receiving solicitations for donations the past several weeks, and sending donations, only to find out the Company does not provide fire protection. As the borough is not contracting with the CHHC, any donations or funds raised by the Company are not being used to provide fire service to borough residents. The CHHC is an independent organization, not associated with the borough. Residents are asked to be vigilant with any solicitation for donations.
